The United Arab Emirates is one of Hungary's most important partners in the Arab world, and small and medium-size enterprises could greatly benefit from direct access, he said.
Szijjarto and representatives of Emirates announced in March that the company would set up a customer centre in Budapest, and create 300 new jobs in the city.
According to airport manager Budapest Airport, Emirates will fly A330 Airbus planes between Budapest and Dubai, with 278 seats each.
